Hydronix SDC-45-2005 5 Micron Polyspun Sediment Filter Cartridge

The Polypropylene 5-micron filter is a sediment filter cartridge capable of removing microns of 5 units. Microns refer to the size of the pores or openings included in the filter. 5-micron filters mean the filter will trap larger particles that a 25, 20, 15, or 10-micron filter element would have been let through larger filters. Consequently, the water that you ultimately drink or use will be healthier. Designed for staged reverse osmosis systems, Purerite 5 micron filters will successfully remove sand, silt, dirt, rust, and other sediment particles. As the 5-micron filter collects much smaller particles than filters with larger pores, it may clog up quicker. Since 5-micron filters are economically priced, however, replacing the filter and keeping access to pure drinking water is not a problem.
